Snowdon Summit Café opens

A café on the summit of Snowdon has reopened following an £8.4 million refurbishment. The opening of the new visitor centre, Hafod Eyri, comes after three years of demolition and building work at 3,560 ft (1,085m) above sea level. The café has been built from granite and was designed by Ray Hole to blend in with landscape and cope with the extreme weather conditions. A glass wall affords visitors fantastic views across Wales while they enjoy a much needed cup of tea!
