Holding a special torch to art

15 May-7 September

In anticipation of Britain hosting the Olympic Games in four years’ time, The V&A are holding a special Olympic poster art exhibition at their east London museum.

The view, at the V&A Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green, is the first UK exhibition to bring such a large number of posters together. Exhibits date back as far as 1900.

A Century of Olympic Posters is mainly drawn from the V&A’s own collection of prints and posters, with more than 100 on show. They include works by the likes of David Hockney, R.B. Kitaj, Andy Warhol and Victor Vasarely.

Tel: (020) 8983 5200; www.vam.ac.uk/moc.
